Decomposition

My decomposition project expresses the process of death, and humanities’ return to nature.

What encompasses a sense of self? If I were to lose a limb, would that limb still be me? How whole must my body be in order to still be me? These illustrations explore the grey area in between that which is human, and that which is other. This, to my understanding, is ‘the abject’.
